Our employees are called pet counselors instead of salesmen. This is mainly due to the fact that their job entails much more than just selling products and animals. Our mission statement says it all:
"We have an extensive training program for our new employees to teach them the information they need to know about pets and how to care for them. The information and knowledge about pets and their needs is constantly changing as we learn more about them. Our employees continually read about new and changing things in the animal world to help stay on top of the current information about pets."
Each employee is trained to work in all of our animal departments. That way, any question our customers have, each pet counselor will be able to help them.
